Every Voice Announces Two New Senior Staff Members

March 19, 2015 | Adam Smith

Washington, D.C. – Every Voice, the growing nonpartisan money-in-politics advocacy group, announced two additional members of its senior team with experienced political strategist Mark Glaze and veteran major donor fundraiser Jennifer Williams joining the organization this month.

“Every Voice is expanding our capacity to support and win policy campaigns across the country,” said David Donnelly, the group’s president and CEO. “Jennifer and Mark bring extraordinary talent and know-how to our team of experienced campaigners, researchers, and communicators.”

Glaze, a seasoned campaigner and strategist, most recently served as executive director of Mayors Against Illegal Guns, now called Everytown for Gun Safety, which became the largest gun safety organization in America during his tenure. He is a veteran of money-in-politics work having previously served as counsel and founding director for the Campaign Legal Center. He will serve as a senior advisor to help implement Every Voice’s plan to win policies at the state and local level through legislative and ballot initiative campaigns.

Williams, who served most recently as the PAC director for the Sierra Club, is the new director of major gifts at Every Voice. She will manage a robust major donor engagement program and expand the base of funders dedicated to comprehensive reform. Previously, Williams worked in development at Planned Parenthood, EMILY’s List, and on Congressional campaigns.

“Jennifer’s experience in raising resources is essential in ensuring we are able to support campaigns across the country,” continued Donnelly. “And Mark knows how to win difficult state-level battles and his experience will be crucial as we work to pass state and local policies to give everyday people a bigger voice in the political process.”

In the past year, Every Voice has doubled in both staff size and budget in order to harness the growing public enthusiasm for fixing our broken political system and to build the political power necessary to put our elections back in the hands of everyday people.

Every Voice is focused on winning campaigns and policies to transform our political system into one that represents everyday people, not big donors. We’re building the political power necessary to create a democracy that’s truly of, by and for the people. Learn more at everyvoice.org.
