Mulvaney Put a For Sale Sign on the White House Lawn – He Needs to Go

April 25, 2018 | Adam Smith

Washington, D.C.–National campaign finance watchdog Every Voice responded to Mick Mulvaney’s admission today that he and members of Congress are for sale to Wall Street bankers.

“Mick Mulvaney just planted a for sale sign outside Congress and the White House in front of wealthy bankers and lobbyists with the means to buy. There’s no way Mulvaney can do his job going forward with this cloud of corruption over every single decision he makes. He needs to go,” said David Donnelly, president and CEO of Every Voice.

According to a report in The New York Times tonight, “Mick Mulvaney, the interim director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, told banking industry executives and lobbyists on Tuesday that they should increase their campaign donations to influence lawmakers, revealing that he would meet only with lobbyists who contributed to his campaign when he served in the House.”
